Summary
The Digital Designer Specilaist, within the Operational Marketing & Production team, plays a critical role in designing and executing promotional content across our digital ecosystem. This role is primarily focused on creating high-quality digital assets for owned channels and the loyalty app based on weekly promotions. Additionally, this role leads in-house photography efforts, including shooting product packshots and executing smaller-scale photoshoots. The specialist ensures every piece of digital communication and imagery is consistent with the corporate image and design standards. This role requires sharp attention to detail to ensure all products, pricing, messaging, and visuals align with the campaign calendar.
What You'll Do
Essential Functions
- Design and execute digital assets for owned channels and the loyalty app, ensuring all materials align with weekly promotional calendars.
- Thoroughly review all artwork to ensure the correct products and prices are used, maintaining meticulous attention to detail prior to final delivery.
- Manages projects, work processes, systems, and/or procedures to ensure efficient workflow.
- Update guidelines, standard operating procedures, and instructional materials related to digital design and promotional execution.
- Identify, develop, and propose opportunities for business and process improvement.
- Plan, execute, and manage in-house photography, specifically product packshots and smaller-scale promotional photoshoots.
- Perform high-quality image editing, color correction, and retouching on all photographic assets to ensure they are production-ready.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proficient with Google Suite.
- Absolute accuracy across all products, pricing, and digital assets through meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated capability in digital photography, including operating camera equipment, managing studio lighting setups, and capturing product packshots.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), with a strict requirement for advanced image editing and retouching skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with follow-through skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience using Adobe Workfront is highly preferred.
- Strong writing and copywriting skills.
- Knowledge of AI capabilities to speed production (when applicable).
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, economics or communication.
- 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above.
Physical Job Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to identify and distinguish between colors more than half the time.
- Ability to occasionally lift, move, and set up photography equipment, lighting, and staging materials for in-house shoots.
