Primary Skills: Wikipedia Editing (Expert), Research Proficiency (Advanced), Neutral Writing (Expert), Source Verification (Intermediate), Wikitext Markup (Intermediate) Contract Type: W2 only Duration : 3+ Months Location : Remote Pay Range: $55 - $60 per hour on W2 Job Summary: This role requires a skilled Wikipedia editor to create and publish a neutral, well-sourced company article. The contractor will manage the entire process, from assessing notability and compiling credible sources to drafting and navigating Wikipedia's submission and review procedures to ensure publication. Success hinges on adhering to Wikipedia's strict content and notability standards. Key Responsibilities: Assess company notability against Wikipedia's General Notability Guideline. Identify and compile a minimum of 5-10 reliable, independent, third-party sources. Draft a neutral point of view (NPOV) article using proper Wikipedia markup (wikitext). Manage the submission process through Articles for Creation (AfC) or directly. Respond to reviewer feedback and make necessary revisions for publication. Must-Have Skills: Demonstrated experience writing and publishing Wikipedia articles with a portfolio. Strong understanding of Wikipedia's core content policies (Notability, NPOV, Verifiability, No Original Research). Proficiency in wikitext markup and citation formatting. Domain/Industry Experience: Experience with company/organization or business article space on Wikipedia is preferred.
