We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team. The primary function of this role is to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that supports the understanding, deployment, and adoption of complex technical products, software systems, and engineering workflows.

The ideal candidate excel at translating dense, technical information into highly accessible content for diverse audiences, ranging from internal technical teams to non-technical end users.

Job Responsibilities 1. Content Development & Maintenance
  • Design, author, and maintain comprehensive user manuals, technical guides, online help systems, installation guides, and associated training materials.

  • Structure and organize technical documentation logically to optimize navigation, searchability, and overall usability.

  • Promptly update existing documentation repositories in response to product changes, system updates, user feedback, and new software releases.

2. SME Collaboration & Information Gathering
  • Partner closely with software engineers, system developers, product managers, and other technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather, verify, and validate technical details.

  • Facilitate information-gathering sessions to extract core workflows and translate complex system logic into plain, concise language.

3. Editing & Communications
  • Edit, proofread, and continuous review content library to ensure absolute technical accuracy, consistent tone, and strict adherence to corporate style guidelines.

  • Own the development, curation, and monthly distribution of the departments technical newsletter to keep stakeholders and user groups informed of ongoing updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: 24 years of dedicated technical writing experience, preferably within an IT, software development, or corporate engineering environment.

  • Core Documentation Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into clear, step-by-step instructions. Exceptional attention to detail regarding grammar, syntax, and formatting.

  • Tools & Technology: Proficient with industry-standard documentation and publishing platforms such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or MadCap Flare. Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and standard version control tools.

  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, work independently, and deliver high-quality outputs within a fast-paced environment.

  • Education: Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field is required.

Desired Attributes
  • Direct experience utilizing MadCap Flare for help-authoring workflows.

  • Prior project management experience supervising documentation lifecycles from initial draft through final publication.
