Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Instructional Designer - Information Security for a contract position with a Major US Airline located in Atlanta, GA. This is a 12 month contract opportunity. As a Senior Instructional Designer for Information Security, you will design innovative and engaging learning experiences that empower the workforce to become vigilant defenders of security. This role is an opportunity to build world-class security awareness and training content that transforms organizational behavior, fosters a culture of security, and enhances the overall risk posture. Responsibilities: Design and deliver cutting-edge security awareness training content that changes behavior and reinforces a positive security culture including e-learning modules, training presentations, system simulations, instructor-led materials, and quick reference guides
Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), adult learning theories, design thinking, UX principles and creative design techniques to develop engaging, learner-centric content and experiences
Design and develop engaging and interactive e-learning modules, videos, and other multimedia content
Create storyboards, scripts, user guides, job aids, and other multimedia content for security training
Collaborate with other teams within Information Security to create accurate, relevant, and actionable training that addresses evolving threats and support their training needs
Apply understanding of human nature, social science, cybersecurity fundamentals, and organizational culture to identify areas where additional training needs to be created to pre-empt developing threats and/or mitigate existing threats rooted in user behaviors and drive to completion
Integrate gamification elements like rewards, leaderboards, and interactive challenges to boost employee engagement
Create a consistent design approach for training materials that aligns with the client's brand and accessibility standards
Evaluate effectiveness of training and awareness content, utilizing appropriate data collection & metrics to continuously improve and maximize effectiveness of reducing human risk
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities to deliver impactful solutions
Requirements: Have exceptional communications skills and the ability to tell powerful and compelling stories that change minds and change behavior through excellent writing skills, the ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative
A natural teacher, good at putting points across engagingly and enthusiastically and inspiring employees to take an interest in information security
Proven expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and curriculum development
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.), and Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia and other tools to develop eLearning
Experience designing gamified, experiential, or scenario-based learning solutions
Ability to develop curriculum that speaks to the topic at the appropriate level for the target audience
Strong project management skills, including multitasking, prioritization, and meeting deadlines
Basic understanding of a wide array of concepts within information security, specific to the reduction of risk through application of best practices
Ability to communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences, thrive in a dynamic environment, and seamlessly manage deadlines and priorities with multiple stakeholders and ambiguity to accomplish bold things
Must have a high degree of initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required
Desired skills: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (instructional design, educational technology, information security, behavioral science, or similar)
Creative and visual skills including audio/video, graphic, web, print and slide design
Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and awareness best practices
Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI standards, LMS platforms, and content management systems
A portfolio showcasing innovative, learner-centric training materials and creative storytelling
