A Publisher plays a vital role in the publishing industry. They are responsible for managing and overseeing the entire publishing process from manuscript acquisition to final production. There are no specific certifications required to become a Publisher, but a degree in a relevant field such as English, Journalism, or Business can be beneficial. Prior work experience in editorial roles such as an Editor, Literary Agent or Commissioning Editor is common before transitioning to a Publisher role.
