Eckerd College is currently hiring for the position of part-time Graphic Designer at our waterfront property along the Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida, in our relationship-focused community.
As Graphic Designer, you will support senior staff in the conceptualization, design and maintenance of visual content and related assets for print and digital media. This individual plays a critical role in upholding the brand of Eckerd College and its high graphic standards.
The role requires the ability to design marketing materials and digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere) as well as working knowledge of image hosting services (e.g. Flickr, Google Drive, Google Photos, Dropbox). The Graphic Designer will be needed to contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and create initial mockups.

Key Responsibilities
Design creative, on-brand graphics, layouts, and visual content for print publications including brochures, programs, flyers and collateral.
Logo design for time-limited campus campaigns or programs. Create event-specific branding for annual campaigns, programs and promotional items.
Design creative, on-brand visual assets for digital media including website, emails, social media, slide presentations and video; these assets include display ads for digital marketing campaigns as well as branded stickers, badges and visual elements for social media.
Complete image processing tasks including resizing, reformatting, optimizing, retouching and compressing images.
Organize and maintain a library of assets in our digital asset management system and other image hosting services incorporating metadata and related details to ensure long-term discoverability and proper usage. Includes curation of digital images from content creators across campus including students, staff and faculty.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in visual arts, graphic design or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
