Position Summary:

This Graphic Artist / Engraver will be primarily responsible for producing artwork that will be used to engrave glassware. Artwork will be created using Illustrator and Photoshop, consistent with company standards and customer needs. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively and ensure customer satisfaction with timely accurate work. Other duties including sandblasting, glass washing and stencil making may be assigned.

Graphic Artist Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately generate artwork for the production of engraving stencils, using Illustrator and Photoshop to support Retail, Wholesale, Corporate and Web sales orders

Detail progress and confirm the artwork/proofs, etc. using the company’s customer and order management system Netsuite & Shopify

All other duties as assigned

Engraver Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Prep work for the engraving process, which includes: making and applying stencils to glass, mask off glass, etching the glass with a sand etching procedure, etc

Wash and inspect glass after the etching procedure

Other duties may include but are not limited to:

unpacking of glass

some lifting and stocking shelves

assisting as needed in other departments

Processing computer-generated orders

All other duties as assigned

QualificationsQualifications Required:

High school diploma or the equivalent

Average to above average computer literacy

Adobe Creative Cloud skills, especially in Illustrator and Photoshop

Microsoft Office Suite skills

Must be able to read and measure with a ruler

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Must be a team player and able to communicate well with others

Must be able to find clarity and agreement when there is ambiguity on or issues with an order

Ability to work in a fast paced, customer-oriented environment

Qualifications Desired:

Engraving or sandblasting experience

Experience with computer skills a plus

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Shopify and NetSuite
