Job Description:
We are seeking a Layout Designer II who thrives in a collaborative team environment. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting engineering efforts related to manufacturing, process development, and New Product Introduction (NPI) for semiconductor devices and assemblies. Your responsibilities will include working alongside Engineers to assist with drafting, documentation, process development, manufacturing support, materials analysis and definition, and process optimization.
This hands-on position focuses on chip and wire assemblies for semiconductor and MMIC packages. You will provide vital support to existing manufacturing processes, with a particular emphasis on NPI prototypes.
Design tools, dies, jigs, or fixtures for use in manufacturing processes
Evaluate tool drawing designs by measuring drawing dimensions and comparing with original specifications for form and function using engineering skills
Prepare parts sketches and create work orders and purchase requests to be furnished by outside contractors
Ensure drawings are produced in accordance with applicable drafting codes and standards
