TheOmaha World-Herald is seeking a hard-charging, multi-dimensional journalist tolead the next phase of our business coverage.

Thisis a key newsroom role tied to a coverage area central to our growth strategy.Were looking for a player/coach who can produce high-impact journalism acrossplatforms while helping shape coverage priorities, mentor colleagues, andcontribute to new product launches.

Omahais home to Berkshire Hathaway and multiple other Fortune 500 companies.Nebraska is the No. 1 state in the country for beef exports and a top exporterof corn, soybeans, and other agricultural products. Its one of the mostunder-covered, high-impact business environments in the country.

Werelooking for a razor-sharp journalist who can distill complicated topics for abroad audience while helping set the agenda for a business community with arich history and ambitious growth targets.

Theideal candidate will:

•Have a proven track record of delivering high-impact business journalism in afast-paced, competitive market

• Be comfortable operating as both a reporter and a newsroom leader, helpingguide coverage and develop colleagues

• Be fluent across platforms, including newsletters, podcasts, and short-formvideo

• Understand how business intersects politics, policy, and everyday life inNebraska

• Bring energy, curiosity, and a drive to build audience and deliver abest-in-class product

•Have at least three years of relevant reporting experience; leadershipexperience is a plus
