Job Summary: The Robesonian is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join our team. As a Graphic Designer you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing visual content across multiple platforms for our clients, ensuring their brand message is communicated effectively and professionally. Create eye-catching and effective advertisements for a variety of local clients who own or operate a local business. Collaborate with our editorial and sales teams to understand client needs and objectives to translate advertisements into appealing visual designs. Modify designs, layouts, and graphics for various mediums, including print, digital, web and social media. Review and proofread designs for errors to ensure accuracy in text, images, and other elements before publication. Juggle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Do I Have What It Takes? Mastery of Adobe Suite to include InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Strong understanding of typography, color theory, grid systems and visual hierarchy. High level page layout/design skills. A portfolio demonstrating diverse design capabilities across print, digital, and branding. Experience in media publishing or layout design for newspapers/magazines.
