Technical Writer I

We are looking for a dedicated professional to create and maintain technical documentation supporting our maintenance operations. You will play a key role in developing user manuals, guides, and technical documents to enhance our organizational operations.

• Develop, review, and update user manuals, guides, preventive maintenance work orders, job plans, and technical documentation within the Maximo CMMS.
• Ensure documentation accuracy by reviewing maintenance instructions against OEM manuals and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, supervisors, reliability engineers, and cross-functional teams to gather technical information and validate documentation updates.
• Support data entry, document control, and configuration management activities within Maximo.
• Produce clear, consistent, and well-structured technical content to improve readability and effectiveness.

• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Ability to meet physical demands associated with maintenance functions, such as climbing ladders and maneuvering in tight spaces.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and common PDF editing tools.
• Excellent written communication and technical writing skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed.

• Familiarity with Maximo or other CMMS platforms.
• Trade certification or associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
• Previous experience standardizing PM programs or contributing to CMMS improvements.
• Knowledge of Lean Maintenance, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), or similar methodologies.
