Key Responsibilities

  • Content Management : Implement digital marketing strategies utilizing premier experience delivery platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SDL Tridion, and Adobe Target.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate digital marketing initiatives while maintaining brand consistency and standards.

  • Innovation & Creativity : Develop and introduce forward-thinking digital marketing campaigns, embracing emerging technologies to drive engagement and effectiveness.

  • Facilitate user testing and support the integration of new technologies , including Aprimo and Google Tag Manager.

  • Analyze market data to optimize digital initiatives and enhance audience engagement.

  • Market Research : Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to continuously refine and improve user experiences.

  • Promote awareness of our marketing digital capabilities and resources within Nationwide Financial and the broader organization.

As a Web Content Specialist, you'll provide technical input to internet/intranet team members about the implementation of web content solutions. We'll count on you for your design thinking and translating business and creative requirements into functional requirements to enable development solutions for the businesses.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides input in the creative design, writing, development and implementation process of web content, including web page layout/visual presentation, template creation, website navigation, SEO, social media and analytics tagging and tracking.

  • Provides content management and daily maintenance of web content. Ensures compliance with brand guidelines and collaborates with business partners to improve the look and feel of websites.

  • Works with team members and/or serves as project leader to develop project plans, content strategies and technology assessments.

  • Analyzes websites to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of online content.

  • Determines the best methods, processes and designs to help increase traffic to sites.

  • Maintains creative standards through consistent process and continuous improvement. Helps to develop and implement better production systems through research and further education.

  • Collaborates with team members on multi-functional initiatives and coordinates the integration of creative and technical elements into a final content presentation.

  • Solves problems, fixes defects and provides guidance to other functional resources related to content and system integration issues.

  • Develops and maintains an expertise in browser, device and operating system functionality, and applies knowledge in design of websites and in consultation with other project members.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director; individual contributor role.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in business, graphic design, computer science or related technical field is preferred.

Experience: Typically, five or more years working experience in an internet production environment. Experience with current content management or web publishing systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong knowledge of web development programs on personal computer (PC) Windows computing platform and web publishing tools and testing across multiple browsers, devices and platforms. Experience coding responsive websites is helpful. Experience with video applications and players is very helpful. Experience with analytics software and tools is essential. Some knowledge of iterative and waterfall project management methodologies is preferred. Ability to understand and develop business requirements for internet and content management. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and schedule production requests and analyze and resolve publishing or production issues. Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically. Ability to identify and communicate publishing options and alternatives with content writers and producers.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring managers leader and HR Business Partner.

Job Conditions:

Overtime Eligibility: Exempt (Not eligible)

Working Conditions: Production environment. Occasional travel. Extended and/or non standard hours based on production schedules. Available to work on occasional release nights.
