We are seeking an independent, data-driven and creative Marketing Manager, CRM to help shape the future of how we engage with our global audience of free readers and paid subscribers. You'll play a pivotal role in driving subscription conversion, engagement, retention, and revenue growth across a suite of digital products.

The ideal candidate will thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution, is passionate about the customer journey, loves experimentation and has a personal interest in news and/or business and finance. You'll work alongside partners across Marketing, Product, Editorial, Creative, and more to build, launch, and optimize high-impact lifecycle campaigns across channels.

What you'll do:
  • Lead CRM strategies to drive subscriber engagement, retention, and revenue across Group and Consumer segments
  • Own campaign execution end-to-end - from inception to strategic briefing and creative development, to deployment and post-campaign analysis.
  • Build cross-channel journeys (email + app) that are personalized, timely, and aligned with subscriber needs and behaviors
  • Collaborate with Creative partners to develop compelling, relevant marketing messaging that drives impact.
  • Drive continuous improvement with test-and-learn plans across targeting, content, creative, and cadence.
  • Analyze campaign performance, provide insights, and clearly communicate results and next steps to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Champion best practices in customer-first decision-making, deliverability, and channel health.

What you'll have:
  • 2-5 years experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or retention marketing, preferably in a subscription and/or content-focused business.
  • Proven track record executing high-impact campaigns across owned channels, with deep expertise in email.
  • Strong project management skills; comfortable juggling multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g. Braze, Iterable)
  • Analytical mindset - skilled in using data to inform decisions, optimize performance, and tell compelling stories.
  • Creative problem-solver who can think both strategically and tactically.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally with product, editorial, and design partners.
  • A passion for customer experience and a curiosity about what drives user behavior.
  • Interest in news, current events, or media is a big plus.
