Work with design team and Graphic Services Supervisor to conceptualize and execute designs for sales and marketing initiatives, marketing campaigns, special events, and seasonal/brand materials. Responsible for conceptualization through completion of design projects. Ability to manage project timeline and production process as needed.
Lead on assignments / projects for design and production of print, web, and electronic sales tools and materials for seasonal launches.
Brainstorm with design and copywriting peers. Aid project team in development and implementation of high-quality materials.
Collaborate with project managers and Senior Art Director to understand the need and translate this into a design. Solicit feedback to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
Facilitate photo shoots and develop photo concepts.
Attend project strategy meetings and contribute to setting creative strategy that maintains the Carhartt message, and Carhartt Brand, design guidelines for web, point of purchase materials, hangtags, etc.
Participate in the development and knowledge sharing of freelance and junior designers.
Present conceptual ideas amongst other designers, Sr. Art Director and Marketing Communications Manager.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of design experience - proficiency in all design programs including Adobe Creative Suite (web and print) and Quark on the Macintosh platform.
Bachelor's degree in graphic communications or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Ability to address technical problems as they relate to visual design. Proven & thorough understanding of interface design and skillful use of design tools.
Possess a strong knowledge in a broad range of design/technical industries including on-line, web, and print.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills, thorough attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to adapt to new software situations, I.E. learning new software as needed.
Strong Prioritization and project management skills with ability to set and meet deadlines as well as manage resources effectively.
